MMJACKET3The dummy and proofs for reprinting my latest book, Many Moons: Reflections on Departed Vaisnavas, have arrived from India. They are quite good — with some room for improvement. We hope to have the book ready in time for this year’s festivals in Mayapur and Vrindavan. And from India, copies will be shipped to Mauritius, South Africa, and other places in Africa, Asia, and Australia. The book, originally printed in the US, has so far been available only in America and Europe, though copies can be ordered from Krishna Culture (https://www.krishnaculture.com/Merchant5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=KC&Category_Code=B-A-GS), Bhaktivedanta Library Services (https://blservices.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Many+Moons), and Krishna.com (https://store.krishna.com/Detail.bok?no=9313&bar=_shp_media-books).

Producing a book is like giving birth to a child: so much anxiety, but when it is finally delivered, so much joy.

“Love is such a motivating factor. Every devotee wants to find love within Krishna consciousness, but sometimes it may happen that a devotee feels that he or she cannot get that love within the community of devotees and so he or she looks outside — or runs into something outside. But if we can genuinely reciprocate with devotees in a loving way, there will be less chance that they will either consciously and deliberately look for it outside or latch onto something that they happen to run into outside of the association of devotees. . . .

“In conclusion, as Srila Prabhupada wrote to one disciple, ‘Your are dependent on my mercy, and I am dependent on your mercy. It is reciprocal. This mutual dependence is based on love — Krishna consciousness.'” — Giriraj Swami
