Kalakantha dasa read from his book A God who Dances and Giriraj Swami spoke on the reading at the Sunday program in Houston.
“Why would Krishna take away someone’s opulence? If that person’s attachment to his wealth and facility proves to be an impediment to his advancement in Krishna consciousness. But once the person passes the stage of material attachment and is able to use opulence in Krishna’s service, then Krishna can give him unlimited opulence — as He gave to Srila Prabhupada. Srila Prabhupada said, ‘First Krishna tested me by taking everything away, and then He tested me by giving me everything.’ One who gives to Krishna is not the loser but is the gainer by millions of times.”
