Sri Radhastami, September 22, Dallas

September 25, 2012

On Radhastami morning Giriraj Swami read and spoke from Bhagavad-gita 9.13 and then spoke again in the evening.

“A mahatma is fully engaged in the service of Lord Krishna. He does not divert his attention to anything else. Bhajanty ananya-manaso — he renders devotional service without deviation of mind. That is an advanced stage, but one for which we all aspire — to engage in devotional service without deviation of mind. But we are extremely fortunate here because Sri Sri Radha-Kalachandji are so beautiful, and the culture of Deity worship here is so surcharged with devotion, that our minds are easily attracted to the enchanting forms of Sri Sri Radha-Kalachandji. We are also extremely fortunate that we have so many nice devotees that can sing and play musical instruments very melodiously, and thus it is very easy for our minds to be attracted to the kirtana. What a blessing! If we were walking down the street trying to fix our minds on Krishna, it might not be so easy.”
