On February 3 Giriraj Swami observed Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura’s appearance day in a small ceremony in Ventura. He recited the poem Srila Prabhupada wrote for his Guru Maharaja’s Vyasa-puja in 1936, and read from the book Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Vaibhava by Bhakti Vikasa Swami.
Krishna Kirtan das led a bhajan in a melody said to be Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura’ favorite. Once, during Srila Prabhupada’s arrival in Los Angeles, Agnideva Prabhu sang this melody at the airport, and Srila Prabhupada indicated to him and the other devotees that he was very pleased with this kirtan.
