On Advaita Acarya’s appearance day, January 22, at a program in Goleta, Giriraj Swami read from Sri Caitanya-caritamrta, Adi-lila 3.92-110 and discussed the glories of the Lord and His devotees–and the great need for Krishna consciousness in the world today.

krsna-avatara-hetu yanhara hunkara
“Advaita Acarya Gosvami is an incarnation of the Lord as a devotee. His loud calling was the cause for Krishna’s incarnation.
caitanyera avatare ei mukhya hetu
bhaktera icchaya avatare dharma-setu
“Therefore the principal reason for Sri Caitanya’s descent is this appeal by Advaita Acarya. The Lord, the protector of religion, appears by the desire of His devotee.” (Cc Adi 3.92, 110)
