Giriraj Swami read and spoke from Srimad-Bhagavatam 3.25.25 at the Sadhu Sanga Retreat.

“Yesterday, in His Holiness Jayadvaita Swami’s wonderful discourse, we heard that the opposite of sadhu-sanga, or sat-sanga, is asat-sanga, and that is true. But from another point of view, one could say the opposite of sat–sanga is sadhu-ninda, or vaisnava-aparadha. There is a very interesting verse in Srimad-Bhagavatam (4.4.13) about the power of the dust from the lotus feet of a devotee. The service of the dust of great souls can bring one very quickly to the highest perfection. But the same dust, if offended, can cause one to fall down. So we should be careful when we associate with devotees. We have to associate with devotees — Srila Prabhupada said that without the association of devotees one cannot make spiritual advancement. But one should associate in the proper way, which means hearing and chanting and asking questions about Krishna, and rendering humble service.”
