Retreat—02 My Journey with Japa Level 02

Giriraj Swami: Hare Krishna. I am very happy to be here, and feel grateful to His Holiness Sacinandana Swami, Mahatma Prabhu, [Unintelligible 00:00:20–24] and all of the other devotees, who have worked to make this retreats possible and to all of you. And I am looking forward with anticipation to the next revelations, that will come by the mercy of the holy name, in the association of the devotees. My journey with japa began in 1969, in the Boston temple. I first really met the devotees, and saw Srila Prabhupada at the same time, at a program in Brandeis University, where I was a student in 1969. And then I went to the temple, and someone gave me beads and taught me how to chant. I wasn’t living in the temple, but I would come every day.
