Giriraj Swami’s Vyasa-puja

Giriraj Swami: So, today is my Vyasa-puja celebration, and I have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love from my godbrothers and disciples and other devotees. And I am remembering a godbrother of mine named Bharaj Raj Prabhu, he was actually the first devotee who ever spoke to me. He said that Krishna consciousness is actually just love masquerading as a philosophy. So, within all the philosophy, or underneath all the philosophy, or the goal of all the philosophy, is love, and I am just overwhelmed by the exchanges of love here.
And I also think of a beautiful statement that Srila Prabhupada made in a letter to a disciple, “You cannot survive without my mercy, and I cannot survive without your mercy. This mutual dependence is based on love, Krishna consciousness.”
So, it has been a very humbling and purifying experience, and it has awakened in my heart more love for Srila Prabhupada and for the devotees.
